Patients diagnosed with either primary or secondary Iymphedema can receive state of the art care in their home by therapists with many years of hands-on experience.

We provide Complete Decongestive Therapy proven to be the most effective treatment long term for this condition. Through manual lymphatic drainage, compression wrapping, exercise and meticulous skin and nail care, the patient is taught by the therapist how to care for and maintain the limb in a healthier state. Caregivers and family members are also trained, if needed, to assist the patient in their daily task of caring for their limb.

When the initial intensive phase of treatment has been completed, the therapist then visits the patient monthly. This one-hour treatment includes measuring of the limb, checking garments and bandages for proper compression along with a hands-on treatment of manual lymphatic drainage. These "maintenance" visits prove to be very successful in preventing the re-swelling of the extremity. Maintenance also helps those patients that have had numerous cellulitis attacks by keeping the lymphatic system working optimally through the application of manual lymphatic drainage.

Each therapist has been trained in measuring and fitting the patient for compression garments. Arm sleeves, gauntlets, gloves and stockings are custom fit for the appropriate size to suit the patient's needs, taking into consideration the ability of the patient to apply the garment as well as remove it. For those patients not able to don and doff garments, caregivers or family members are instructed in this process.
